RecordingWe used Joel Chaderton to do our narration, he is a close friend which I think helped as we had freedom to ask him to do what we liked as we were all comfortable with eachother. He was also chosen as he has a good range to his voice and is articulate and confident. He attends a different college and so with the use of a boom mic and camera equipment he came round to my house and did the narration in the quite study room whilst no-one else was in so that the ambience would be quiet. Joel repeated each section of narration twice, not because of any faults but just so we could make the best possible decision in editing. We also got him to narrate more than we needed so we wouldn't be short on narration. The recording went without issue and Joel read off a script we had prepared for him in a word document.
EditingAfter listening to it all once over we decided we were very satisfied with the narration. We then unlinked the audio and disposed of the visual aspects. It was then a simply case of seperating the various sections of narration (made easy byt the way we structured the recording) on merchandie, wages ect and then fitted them into the correct and relevant places so that they would match the footage we had.
